Steven W. Bruch, M.D., MSc. is currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery in the Section of Pediatric Surgery at the University of Michigan. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. He then received his medical degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago, Illinois. He then began his service in the United States Navy, including his General Surgery training at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California. He completed a one year research fellowship at the Fetal Treatment Center at the University of California, San Francisco. He completed his Pediatric Surgery training at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He concluded his Navy commitment as a Staff Pediatric Surgeon at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia prior to joining the staff at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. He then received a Master's of Science in Clinical Research Design and Statistical Analysis from the University of Michigan. Dr. Bruch is board certified in both General Surgery and Pediatric Surgery. His clinical interests include all aspects of pediatric surgery with specific interest in thoracic and abdominal neonatal surgery, and endocrine surgery. He heads up the Pediatric Endocrine Surgery Program at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. His research interest is in clinical outcomes.
