Dr. Carver is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist, and the Director of the Michigan Obstetric Safety Team at the University of Michigan.
She received her undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. Dr. Carver returned “home” to the University of Alabama for her medical degree followed by an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at the University of North Carolina. After completing a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch, she relocated to Macon, Georgia to begin MFM consultation as part of a regional perinatal center for central Georgia and served as an assistant professor at Mercer University School of Medicine Ob/Gyn Residency Program.
Eager to pursue additional exposure to prenatal diagnosis and fetal therapy while reentering a more rigorous academic and clinical environment, she joined the University of Michigan in 2016. Her interests include hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, cervical insufficiency, abnormal placentation, and maternal quality and safety.
