I grew up as well as did all my schooling and training in Chicago. I moved to the Ann Arbor area to work for the University of Michigan. I am the youngest in my family, with an older sister and older brother. I am the first person in my family to go into medicine. Growing up I played every sport I could: baseball, basketball, football, golf and tennis, but focused on golf and baseball as I got older. My favorite subjects in school were always math and science, which led to studying biology and chemistry in college, then ultimately going into the field of medicine specializing in pediatrics.
