Erica attended the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, in Baltimore, MD and earned her BSN in 2000 and MSN in 2004. She began her nursing career as a labor and delivery nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Upon moving to San Francisco, CA in 2004 she turned her focus to pediatric oncology while working at California Pacific Medical Center. In 2008 she began working as a pediatric nurse practitioner in the outpatient pediatric oncology clinic at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford in Palo Alto, CA before moving to Ann Arbor in 2011. She is currently practicing as a pediatric nurse practitioner in the department of pediatric surgery at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital coordinating the pediatric Solid Tumor Oncology Program. She is board certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) and is a member of the Association of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Nurses (APHON) as well as Sigma Theta Tau International honor society for nursing. Erica’s interests lie in pediatric oncology. She is committed to helping children and families afflicted with cancer and values the importance of providing education regarding these particular diagnoses to help families deal with an uncertain future.
