Dr. Treadwell is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Michigan Medical School, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Co-Director of the Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment Center.
Dr. Treadwell received her undergraduate and medical school degrees from the University of Michigan. She subsequently completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency followed by her fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Wayne State University. She remained in Detroit, based at Hutzel Hospital, for the next 16 years. As director of the Obstetric Ultrasound services for the Detroit Medical Center Hospitals, she pursued her interests in prenatal diagnosis and fetal therapy as well as teaching and clinical research. Dr. Treadwell returned to Ann Arbor in 2006 to join the Maternal-Fetal Medicine team and help develop the fetal diagnosis and therapy program.
She has received awards for her outstanding clinical care and for her teaching, including ACOG Mentor of the Year and being named on Castle Connelly America's Top Doctors list every year since 2001.
