Pumpkin Toss

Hop, skip and jump with this fun game that makes you move your body! You can make the game your own by writing movements and actions that are most fun to you.

What You’ll Need:

  • Orange and brown construction paper
  • Black marker
  • Scissors
  • Masking tape
  • Bean bag or small item to toss

Instructions:

Step 1: Cut out 12 to 20 pumpkin-shaped circles from the orange construction paper, and a matching number of small rectangle “stems” from the brown construction paper. Tape the stems to the backs of the pumpkins.

Step 2: Using the black marker, write a different action on each pumpkin. Some examples include: hop 5 times, gallop like a pony for 30 seconds, do 20 jumping jacks, etc.

Step 3: Arrange the pumpkins on the floor or ground outside spacing them a bit apart (see photo above). Use the masking tape to secure them to the ground so they will stay in place.

Step 4: Grab your bean bag and take turns tossing it onto the various pumpkins. Whichever pumpkin it lands on, the thrower has to do that movement or action.
