Obstacle Course

An obstacle course is an engaging activity for kids of all ages and is always a big hit! Younger kids love to complete all of the obstacles, and older kids can race each other or go for their best time. The course can be made different every time depending on what obstacles you decide to add, which is half of the fun!

Instructions:

In order to create an engaging course, include a variety of motions (jumping, crawling, balancing, etc.) and use a large area. Have your kids help make the course using some of these ideas:

  1. Hula hoops to jump through
  2. Line of painter’s tape to balance on
  3. Couch cushions to hop between
  4. Table to crawl under
  5. Blanket over two chairs to crab walk through
  6. Tupperware containers to hurdle over or weave through
  7. Stuffed animals to roll over
  8. Plastic cups to run around
  9. Outdoor activities like running through a sprinkler, jumping in a kiddie pool or incorporate sports equipment

This project was inspired by an activity here.
