Ready, set, action! Create your own movie reel using objects you likely have around the house.
What You’ll Need:
- Large white paper plate (works best if it doesn’t have a shiny coating on it)
- Small white paper plate
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Markers, crayons or colored pencils
- Brass fastener or push pin with a backing so you don’t get poked
Instructions:
Step 1: Start by taking your small paper plate and cutting a flower petal type shape with the petal tip touching the edge of the plate (see photo above). Turn the large paper plate upside down and set the small paper plate centered on top.
Step 2: Trace the petal onto the large plate. Rotate the small paper plate so you trace the petal shape next to the one you just made (see photo above). Keep tracing until you complete a circle and fill in your entire large plate with petals (see photo above).
Step 3: Take the small paper plate off. Now it’s time to draw your movie! Draw a scene in each petal to complete your movie.
Step 4: Use the fastener or push pin to secure the small plate on top of the large plate so that one petal is viewable at a time (see photo above).
Step 5: Turn your top plate to showcase each scene in your movie!
