DIY Pinball

Help your kids make a marble maze they’ll have endless fun with!

What you’ll need:

  • Strips of paper
  • Paper plates
  • Tape
  • Wiki Stix, or pipe cleaners and glue
  • Marbles

Instructions:

  1. Give your child a paper plate and challenge him or her to make a marble maze.
  2. You can use strips of paper to make tunnels and a pocket to roll the marble into, and Wiki Stix or pipe cleaners to make pathways for the marble. Wiki Stix will stick to the plate on their own, but if you use pipe cleaners you’ll want to use tape or glue to keep them in place.
  3. Try out your marble maze!
Trade plates with another family member and try their maze, as well.  Who can complete their maze the fastest? Record times and see if you can improve your time. Challenge your child to consider other items that can be incorporated into a marble maze, such as drinking straws, toothpicks, noodles, etc.
