Color Scavenger Hunt

This activity is the perfect excuse to go out and explore nature – and teach your child colors! See how many colors your child can find!

What you’ll need:

  • White paper lunch bag
  • Paper – colored paper or white
  • Markers

Instructions:

  1. Choose the colors you want your child to hunt for outside. If you’re using white paper, use colored markers to indicate what color you want your child to hunt for.  Or, you can use colored paper squares.
  2. Give your child the bag and go hunting together to find flowers, leaves and other items in nature that match the colors in the bag.
  3. If this activity is done with several children, have a show and tell with all the items everyone found at the end.
