Banana Penguins

You’ll have almost as much fun making this cute banana penguin as you will eating it!  Turn your banana penguin into a frozen treat by leaving it in the freezer overnight.

An adult should help with cutting the candy-coated chocolates into halves.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bananas
  • Melted chocolate chips
  • Candy eyeballs
  • Candy-coated chocolates (have an adult help you cut them in halves)

Step 1: Peel your banana and cut in half to create a flat edge (watch video above).

Step 2: Coat the top half of the banana in melted chocolate.

Step 3: Place two candy eyeballs on the top half of the banana as the penguin’s eyes.

Step 4: Have an adult help you cut a candy-coated chocolate in half and place it vertically under the eyes as the penguin’s beak.

Step 5: Spread a small amount of chocolate on the cut side of the banana and add two candy-coated chocolate halves horizontally as the penguin’s feet.

Step 6: Place your banana penguin on a piece of parchment paper and put it in the freezer.

Step 7: Leave your banana penguin in the freezer for 20 minutes to harden.

Step 8: Enjoy your treat!
