C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital Named a Beneficiary of New Motor City Car Crawl Charity Gala

ANN ARBOR, MICH. – University of Michigan Health C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital has been named one of nine children’s charities that will benefit from an exciting first-time event — the Motor City Car Crawl Charity Gala in downtown Detroit.

The Charity Gala will take place on Aug.7, and will be headlined by singer-songwriter and nine-time Grammy Award winner Sheryl Crow, who will perform at Campus Martius.

The charitable event is part of the Motor City Car Crawl, produced by the Detroit Auto Dealers Association (DADA) and the Downtown Detroit Partnership. The Motor City Car Crawl is a free, outdoor, walkable event that will kick off at noon on Thursday, Aug. 5, and last through Sunday, Aug. 8.

The Charity Gala is a ticketed event and will feature an array of food and beverage offerings in addition to Crow’s performance. Tickets for the Aug.7 Charity Gala are available for $250 each and can be purchased at Recommended attire is summer chic.

Other children’s charities benefiting from the event are Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan, Boys Hope Girls Hope Detroit, Children's Center, The Children's Foundation, Detroit PAL, Judson Center, March of Dimes Metro Detroit, and Detroit Auto Dealers Association Charitable Foundation Fund, a fund of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan.

C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital offers leading-edge pediatric care in a 1.1 million square foot, 348-bed facility in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The 12-story building is also home to Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital, as well as adult and pediatric blood and marrow transplant programs. The hospital features a dedicated pediatric emergency department, an on-site Ronald McDonald House, and provides specialized services not offered anywhere else in Michigan for newborns, children, and pregnant women.

C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital was recently rated the top children’s hospital in Michigan and one of the best in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report. The hospital is the only one in the state to be nationally ranked in all 10 of the pediatric specialties evaluated annually by the publication.
