Medicine Reaction, Anxiety

Many prescription and nonprescription medicines can cause anxiety. A few examples are:

  • Decongestants.
  • Diet pills.
  • Steroid medicines.
  • Thyroid medicines.

Some illegal drugs, such as cocaine, crack, and speed (amphetamines), also can cause anxiety.
