Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics

The Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics clinic at University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital evaluates and treats infants, children and teens with developmental, learning or behavioral concerns.

Each member of our faculty is a board-certified Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician specializing in evaluating and treating children with developmental difficulties and behavioral challenges.  We provide advanced evaluations and evidence-based treatment recommendations through  specialty clinics, as individual providers and  as part of interdisciplinary teams across C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.

Our faculty specialize in the following areas:

Care coordinated by the Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics clinic usually includes treatment planning, behavioral medication management and recommendations for further assessment or additional therapeutic strategies.

As part of our commitment to advancing the field of developmental and behavioral pediatric care, our faculty lead a number of federally funded research projects exploring factors that promote children’s well-being, healthy growth and optimal developmental trajectories and – in turn – interventions to improve outcomes.  A particular focus has been educating medical trainees and professionals about common developmental behavioral conditions so that less complicated problems can be addressed by primary care providers.
