Neural correlates and brain development in pediatric anxiety disorders

Biography

As a child psychiatrist and co-director of the Pediatric Anxiety and Tic Disorders Clinic at the University of Michigan, Dr. Fitzgerald is motivated to seek better interventions for childhood anxiety. Her research uses functional magnetic resonance imaging to elucidate primary targets for the prevention of anxiety disorders, particularly obsessive compulsive disorder.
