Biography

Dr. Kris Kullgren received her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Michigan and her degree in clinical psychology from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. She completed an internship in pediatric psychology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and her fellowship in pediatric psychology at Emory University. Dr. Kullgren joined the faculty at the University of Michigan to direct the inpatient pediatric psychology consultation liaison program. She is particularly interested in helping youth and families cope with chronic illness and pain in order to return to typical functioning. Dr. Kullgren works closely with the inpatient medical staff at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital to help address the psychosocial needs of youth in the medical setting. Her clinical and research interests include factors that impact the psychological adjustment and coping with a chronic illness and medical adherence.
