Dr. Hammer graduated with honors from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and completed her medical degree and pediatrics residency at the University of California-San Francisco. She is board-certified in pediatrics. Her clinical interests include newborn care and breastfeeding support. She currently has a general pediatric practice located at Briarwood Center for Women, Children, and Young Adults where she serves as medical director. She also serves as director of the University of Michigan Outpatient Breastfeeding Program which provides outpatient breastfeeding consults and a support group for breastfeeding mothers. She lives in Ann Arbor with her husband, three children, and golden retriever, Bella. Her hobbies include yoga, snowboarding, rock climbing, and traveling with her family.
