Biography

Dr. Hanauer is currently a clinical associate professor at the University of Michigan Medical School with a joint appointment in the School of Information.  He is a practicing pediatrician and serves as Assistant Director for Clinical Informatics in the University of Michigan's Comprehensive Cancer Center's Informatics Core, as well as Associate Chief Medical Information Officer for the University of Michigan Health System.  His academic interests include clinical and health informatics initiatives primarily focused on the secondary use of clinical data and the interface between patients and the health care system.
