Rehabilitation and Therapy (Pediatric)

The Pediatric and Adolescent Rehabilitation Program offers services for children and adolescents who have a variety of disabling conditions, such as:

  • cerebral palsy
  • spinal cord injury
  • brain injury
  • spina bifida
  • neuromuscular diseases
  • brachial plexopathy
  • pediatric cancer
  • congenital syndromes
  • amputation

Expertise is available in all types of rehabilitative care, including specialized nursing, physical and occupational therapy, orthotics and prosthetics, rehabilitation engineering, speech and language pathology, and rehabilitation psychology and social work.

This comprehensive pediatric program encompasses the following programs:

  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Baclofen Pump Program for Spasticity Control
  • Rhizotomy Program for Spasticity Control
  • Intensive Therapy protocols, including Robotic therapy with the Lokomat
  • CHAMP, the Comprehensive Hand and Arm Movement Program
  • Spinal Cord Injury Program
  • Traumatic Brain Injury (including stroke and tumors) including comprehensive outpatient care at the Milestones therapy center.
  • Dysphagia (Swallowing) Program
  • Ventilator Rehabilitation Program
  • Augmentative Communication/Language Disorder Program
  • Brachial Plexopathy Clinic
  • Down Syndrome Clinic
  • Neuropsychological evaluation and treatment
